The exhibition Sea Fireflies presents a series of new works by the award-winning Croatian multimedia artist Nikolina Šimunović. Her artistic practice develops at the intersection of painting, object, and installation, continuously exploring the boundaries of media and their interweaving. Collage is a fundamental element of her creative process and runs through almost all her works, which are created through careful stitching, gluing, and experimentation with various materials. In this cycle, Nikolina investigates the delicate balance between the transient and the permanent, where beautyappears in the moment and disappears, leaving a lasting trace in memory.
